HHL is a university level institution in Leipzig, just one hour south of Berlin and ranks among the top business schools in the world. It was recently ranked #19 worldwide in the Financial Times Master in Management ranking. In February 2023 HHL has been named as #1 in Germany for its start-up support in the category of small universities (<5000 students) for the 6th time in a row by Gründungsradar 2023, a study by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
First founded in 1898 HHL is the first private business school in German-speaking Europe. The goal of Germany’s oldest business school is to educate effective, responsible and entrepreneurial leaders through its integrated management approach.
HHL is characterized by excellent teaching, clear research orientation and practice-oriented transfer as well as excellent service for its students.

The HHL campus is centrally located in the city of Leipzig and, at the same time, surrounded by idyylic parks and rivers. To accommodate a flexible study schedule, we grant students access to HHL’s premises 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Admissions requirements for HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management
Full-time Master in Management:
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration or other business-related programs, e.g. Business Informatics, Business Psychology, Business Law, Economics, Industrial Engineering etc. (with a minimum of 180 credits, of which 40 – 60 credits in business-related subjects)
- Above average academic performance during both high-school (Abitur) and Bachelor degree
- A GMAT (or GRE) score of at least 600 or HHL Entry Test
- A minimum TOEFL score of 90 (or IELTS of 7.0) or a Bachelor degree completed in English
- 3 or more months of professional experience by the program’s start date
Full-time Master in Entrepreneurship:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university
- Above average academic performance during both high-school (Abitur) and Bachelor degree
- GMAT (GRE) score of at least 600 or HHL Entry Test
- A minimum TOEFL score of 90 (or IELTS of 7.0) or a Bachelor degree completed in English
- 3 or more months of professional experience by the program’s start date
Full-time MBA
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university
- At least 3 years of postgraduate work experience
- Competitive GMAT/GRE score
- Proof of very good English skills, e.g. TOEFL of 90+/IELTS of 7.0+
