Empowering dreams: Prodigy Finance scholarship programme 2024 - 2025

We are breaking down barriers to education through scholarships.

At Prodigy Finance, our mission is to remove funding barriers to make education accessible for all. Over the years, we’ve supported over 40,000 students globally with our loans and awarded USD 500,000 in scholarships through our esteemed partners. From March to April 2024 we ran a scholarship program specifically targeting exceptional students embarking on their educational journeys between August 2024 and May 2025. We were overwhelmed by the incredible applications we received, and after a rigorous review process, we're thrilled to announce the winners of our five $5,000 scholarships

Meet the winners of the Prodigy Finance scholarship programme for 2024 - 2025 and learn more about their inspiring journeys.

Alexandra Phillips

South Africa

ESADE | ESADE Business School | Master in International Management

Alexandra aspires to be a business leader driving sustainable development on the African continent. She plans to leverage the private sector to improve economic and living conditions within the continent. Our scholarship will empower her to establish a consultancy in South Africa which offers renewable energy solutions to both large pan-African companies and SMEs on a pro bono basis. By targeting these two sectors, she aims to foster a thriving business environment and entrepreneurial spirit - focused on sustainability. Alexandra has a strong interest in transforming South Africa's energy system into an international leader in renewable energy, which is why she is drawn to ESADE's emphasis on international and cross-cultural operations, a crucial aspect of expanding the consultancy across Africa. This scholarship represents a vital step towards executing her ambitious vision for a brighter future for Africa.

“This scholarship will allow me the freedom to explore every opportunity offered at ESADE without the obligation of working part-time. Now I know I will be able to fully embrace the experience of studying abroad to become a transformative policy leader working towards the advancement of women’s rights.”

Marta Kozielska

Poland

University of Oxford | Blavatnik School of Government | Master of Public Policy (MPP)

Marta is an advocate for women's rights and aspires to become a transformative policy leader. The MPP program will empower her to develop expertise that merges technical excellence with compassion and long-term vision, all guided by a strong moral compass focused on gender equality. This scholarship will allow her to identify the most impactful approach to fostering women's active participation in international decision-making at all levels. Ultimately, she envisions a more inclusive and equitable society fueled by rights-based policymaking and gender expertise.

“Receiving this scholarship from Prodigy Finance is truly affirming. It will also heavily and positively impact my career choices. With the reduced financial strain as it covers a substantial portion of my tuition, I can consider positions in sectors such as charity or public service rather than prioritising high-earning roles to repay a loan.”

Peterson Kwaku Kodjoe

Ghana

Pennsylvania State University | School of International Affairs | Master of International Affairs (MIA)

Peterson strives for a career focused on sustainable development and inclusive growth. This scholarship fuels his vision of leveraging an international affairs degree and study abroad experience to tackle complex challenges on local, regional, and global scales. Through policy development and collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and international organisations, he wants to leave a lasting legacy by promoting economic stability, environmental sustainability, and social equity. His commitment extends to mentoring future leaders, particularly from underprivileged backgrounds, inspiring them to build a brighter future for all.

“Through my study abroad experience and degree in international affairs, I intend to formulate and implement policies that address issues such as poverty alleviation, natural resource management, and access to education and healthcare at the global level.”

Pranjali Gupta

India

Yale University | Yale School of Public Health | Master of Public Health (MPH)

Witnessing healthcare disparities firsthand during COVID-19 ignited a passion in Pranjali to address access issues in developing countries. Our scholarship will empower her to pursue an MPH and tackle last-mile challenges in essential medication and vaccine delivery. Through research on incentive structures, managed access programs, and local alternatives, she aims to design sustainable solutions that prioritise equitable access and reduce reliance on philanthropy. Pranjali’s goal is to build a future where healthcare isn't tiered, leveraging collaboration and innovative interventions to improve treatment outcomes for patients across South Asia.

“As an international student, financial support is crucial. I am honoured to be selected for this scholarship. Through this opportunity and my MPH at Yale, I will continue working towards a future where equitable access to quality healthcare is a universal right instead of the privilege it is today.”

Sahithi Vincy Salikineedi

India

University of Chicago | Harris School of Public Policy | Master of Public Policy (MPP)

Sahithi is dedicated to building a legacy of positive change for marginalised communities. Witnessing the struggles of underprivileged children ignited a fire within her to break the cycle of poverty and injustice. Driven by a belief in equal opportunity, she views her studies at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy as a call to action. She aspires to be a vocal advocate, challenging systemic inequalities through research and policy development. Our scholarship will help her pursue a global network and diverse perspectives to dismantle barriers and empower marginalised communities to thrive.

“My goal is to leverage my education and experience to advocate for marginalised communities and shape policies that prioritise their needs. This scholarship is a game-changer for me. It feels like a nod to the hard work I’ve put in and a vote of confidence in my future.”
