About the author

At Prodigy Finance, we're committed to helping international talent to achieve their education dreams. We offer international student loans to qualified individuals attending top master's programmes in the US.

The entire application process is done online. Start your application by visiting our website (prodigyfinance.com), then click apply now.

In your loan application, we’ll ask you to fill out some details about yourself, such as your residence, work experience and budget. The budget is based upon the total cost of attendance for your course as quoted by your school.

After submitting your application, you’ll receive a credit decision. If we provide you with a provisional offer, and you accept it, you’ll move on to verification stage. This is where you’ll need to upload various docs that support the information you provided in the loan application.

Once all those documents have been verified, your loan will be approved. Your school will be notified and we’ll follow any school-specific processes. You will sign the loan agreement electronically when you arrive on campus.

I have finished all my steps on the dashboard, what now?

Congratulations! If you’ve completed all the steps on your dashboard, your loan has been fully approved and you’re a part of the Prodigy Finance community. This means you’ll receive emails about benefits available to our borrowers.

And, in terms of signing your loan agreement and the actual disbursement of your loan, your loan agreement will be made available online for your review.

Depending on where you are in the world and where you’re going to study, your loan agreement will either be available three months prior to your class start date or available when you arrive on campus.

The actual signing of the loan agreement is done online; you do not need to print anything.

Usually there’s a Prodigy Finance member of staff around during registration week to answer any final questions. Your funds will then be disbursed in line with the disbursement dates agreed upon with the school and you do not need to do anything.
