Admissions criteria

Securing admission to the College of Arts and Science at SHU requires a few essential documents and eligibility criteria. Generally, applications are required to submit the following: A completed Graduate Online Application (GOA) A personal statement written by the applicant (attached through GOA) Two letters of recommendation from academic and/or professional sources Official transcripts from all schools or colleges, including pre-and post-baccalaureate coursework For academic transcripts from institutions outside of the United States or Canada, evaluation of course-by-course transcript is required from an accredited transcript evaluation agency that must be a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) GRE or MAT scores (50th percentile or higher) (Optional) TOEFL score above 80, IELTS score above 6, and 110 or above on the Duolingo English Test A current resume or CV (attached to GOA) Bachelor’s degree of 3.0 or higher overall GPA Completed I-20 Declaration and Certification of Finances Form Original bank documents (copies will not be accepted) Copies of relevant professional certifications and licences Expenses include: - University fee (full-time registered for 9 or more credits) - Health service/health insurance - Food
