The university offers various on-campus housing types, from a traditional-style standard double room and suite and semi-suite rooms to single rooms and apartments-style living. You can also access all the modern amenities needed in a household.

Many off-campus housing options are available for international graduate students in both West Lafayette and Lafayette. Purdue University even has an agreement with properties, offering one to two-bedroom unfurnished apartments near campus. Additionally, the off-campus housing website provides helpful resources such as rental listings, roommate search tools, property/landlord surveys, to aid international students in finding off-campus accommodation. The approximate rent for apartments within 3.22 kilometres from campus is $1,273.

The campus has many dining locations, including food courts, cafes, and restaurants across the premises, offering various meal plans to cater to students' culinary preferences and dietary needs.

International students can enhance their experience with recreation and wellness facilities, including a fitness centre, aquatics training, intramurals, wellness and physical therapy, rock climbing, and many more activities.

The campus provides parking facilities but the availability of parking permits may depend on how far you live from campus. Students can use the readily available public transport to reach campus. If you do not prefer public transportation, City Bus is free for students who furnish their university ID.

Admissions criteria

A Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a recognised institution is mandatory for an international student applying to graduate programmes. After completing the personal information form, international students need to attach/submit the following supporting materials:

Personal statement/Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Three letter(s) of recommendation

Undergraduate transcripts (translated into English)

Education Credential Assessment

Graduate admissions test results (GMAT, GRE, LSAT)

Proof of proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS)
