Admissions criteria
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria to be eligible for admission to a graduate program at Ohio State University - College of Engineering:
Bachelor's Degree: Applicants must have successfully completed a four-year course of study and earned a degree from a regionally accredited institution before starting the intended enrollment term
GPA Requirements: Prospective students must fulfil one of the GPA standards to be a part of the institute. However, the GPA scores vary per your course. Please check the college’s website for the same.
Application Questionnaire: While filling out the application form, the applicants must fill in the questionnaire appropriately
Statement of Purpose: Applicants are required to submit a statement of purpose. The institute will provide specific prompts for the same
Letters of Recommendation: The applicants must also provide a minimum of 3 LORs from their educational and professional supervisors
Resume or CV: Applicants must also submit a well-formatted CV/Resume highlighting their strengths, certifications, etc.
Official Transcripts: Applicants must submit official transcripts from all attended institutions showing at least 6 semesters of coursework. Graduates should also provide degree-conferred details
English Proficiency Test: International applicants must meet the schools’ minimum score in any of the following tests to show their proficiency in English:
Minimum Score needed in paper-based TOEFL: 79
Minimum Score needed in Duolingo: 120
Minimum Overall Band Score needed on the IELTS: 7.0 (in all sections)
