About the school

One of the country's top business and Ivy League institutions is the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Since its foundation in 1881, Wharton has been instrumental in converting business study from a simple skill to a highly regarded profession. As envisioned by its founder, Joseph Wharton, Wharton is still committed to its original objective of developing thoughtful, all-around leaders who will advance society.

Wharton is renowned for its open and varied environment, notably its support for marginalised groups and academic achievement. The school provides students various chances to achieve their academic and professional goals by offering a wide range of graduate programmes, including MBA, Executive, Doctoral, Interdisciplinary, and Global Programmes.

Where is the school located?

The University of Pennsylvania's main pedestrian street, Locust Walk, runs beside the Philadelphia Wharton campus. Numerous buildings that encircle the Wharton quad make up Jon M. Huntsman Hall, a relatively recent addition to the campus. The school has campuses in Philadelphia, Beijing, and San Francisco, with the main campus in Philadelphia.

Life at The Wharton School

The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School boasts a welcoming and all-inclusive environment. The university's commitment to nurturing a creative and innovative atmosphere is evident from the start of a student's journey. To ensure students feel comfortable, they are divided into three cohorts, each comprising 70 students. Through shared classes, assignments, and projects, they are encouraged to interact with one another, fostering a sense of community and collaboration that benefits everyone involved.

They also provide ample support for extracurricular activities to prioritise students' comfort. They offer diverse clubs, including athletics clubs, community and service clubs, professional clubs, social clubs, and cultural and affinity clubs. These options cater to various student interests, ensuring everyone can find a club that suits them.

Additional benefits of studying at The Wharton School

The University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School stands out for offering its students exceptional facilities and a range of additional advantages. Notable among these is the Wharton Global Youth Programme, which imparts business knowledge, global awareness, and leadership skills to pre-college individuals by leveraging diverse resources. The institution also caters to non-traditional students through introductory courses and a supportive peer network, accommodating those without business education. For marginalised students, the Successful Transition and Empowerment Program (STEP) facilitates a smooth adjustment with pre-orientation and a comprehensive four-year curriculum, fostering a sense of belonging, linking students to essential resources, building a solid community, and equipping them with the tools they need to excel.
