Life at the A. James Clark School of Engineering

The institute has various academic support services and outreach programmes to recruit, retain, and graduate students. Students can join Student Societies like the Black Engineers Society, the Society of Hispanic Engineers, and the Society of Women Engineers. Admissions criteria

The University of Maryland (UMD) is committed to its diverse and stimulating campus culture. The application procedure includes but is not limited to, the following criteria. Students must submit a complete application, including required test scores and letters of recommendation Students with international credentials or who hold a visa must visit the - International Admissions section for more information Identify contact references for Letters of Recommendation Recommenders should be the applicant’s current or former professors or others who can speak to an applicant’s academic talents, work ethic, and intellectual strengths Submit Transcripts Submit Test Scores: GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, Praxis, MAT, IELTS/PTE scores Students will be required to submit TOEFL/IELTS/PTE scores if they are U.S. citizens or permanent residents with international credentials whose native language is not English and who do not hold a degree from an institution in the U.S. Pay Application Fee: Students will be assessed a non-refundable application processing fee of up to $100 for each programme. Students may monitor the status of their application by logging back into the online graduate application using their username and password. When the Graduate School has made a final decision, selected students will receive an email informing them to log back into their graduate application to view the decision letter.
