About the school

The California State University Long Beach College of Business is one of the eight colleges under the university. The university was established in 1949 in the Orange County State and later renamed California State University Long Beach. It is the largest campus in the California State University.

The College of Business Studies was also founded in the same year with 24 students, and today, more than 53,000 students have graduated from the college. The college offers nine master's programs that comprise four MBA programmes, four Master in Science programmes, and a BA/MFA in Theatre Management.

Admissions criteria

While applying for a graduate program at the California State University Long Beach College of Business, you must meet the following criteria to be eligible for admission:

Bachelor’s degree: The applicant must have completed a four-year course of study and have a degree from a regionally recognised institution by the end of the summer term for fall enrollment, or by the end of the fall term from the spring enrollment.

GPA requirements: The applicant must meet one of the following GPA requirements. They include: - Hold a bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 - Hold a bachelor's degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 in the last 60 semester or 90 quarter units - If the applicant is still pursuing a degree, they can be admitted based on the provisional baccalaureate degree provided they can produce the proof of degree completion with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7 or in the last 60 semester or 90 quarter units

Official Transcripts: Students must submit the original and certified English transcripts from all the institutions attended: - Transcripts must show the coursework of at least 6 semesters - If you have graduated, then a degree conferred with date and time must also be shared with the transcripts - The applicants who have consolidated mark sheets must submit individual mark sheets before the evaluation

Students who have a 3-year bachelor's degree must submit a degree equivalency questionnaire.

GRE/GMAT Scores: Certain courses may require GRE/GMAT scores

International students must submit a language test score to certify their English proficiency. Minimum score needed in paper-based TOEFL (pBT): 550 Minimum score needed in the Internet-based TOEFL (iBT): 80 Minimum score needed in PTE Academic: 58 Minimum score needed in Duolingo: 115 Minimum score needed in Eiken: 1 Minimum overall band score needed in Cambridge English Assessment: 169 Minimum overall band score needed on the IELTS: 6.0 in each sub-section

Students from certain countries have waiver eligibility. Moreover, certain applicants can get waivers as well. Thus, they must check the course to identify the requirements.
