About the school
Washington University’s Brown School is a leader in social work and public health programmes. The school, located in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri, was founded in 1925.
Having undergone several upgrades since its inception, the school functions from a sprawling campus today, driving equity through transformative education. Brown School’s “Driving Equity 2030” strategic plan aims to advance social, economic, health, environmental and racial justice.
The school has encouraged several graduates to make a positive social change in the world over the years. The city’s iconic 630-foot Gateway Arch commemorates the westward expansion of the immigrant American population and early 19th-century explorers. The Soulard district of St. Louis has several barbecue restaurants and clubs that play blues music. The city is also known for its fiercely loyal sports fans.

Life at Brown School
Brown School understands how difficult a transition can be for international students. To help them adapt to their new life, the school holds a dedicated orientation every August and has an international connector programme in place. With over 120 international students on campus, the Office of Global Programmes hosts lunches on campus to help international students understand how everything in the US runs. The OISS English Language Programme is implemented to assess and help improve English communication. Annual cultural showcases are organised for better intermingling, where various international student groups are in place for added support. On-campus accommodations range from modern residentials to traditional ones, including lofts, apartments, and village houses. WashU properties provide off-campus housing options listed on the college's apartment referral service website.
The Washington University Dining Services look after students' needs for nutritious meals per their preferences. There are multiple meal points spread across the campus.
WashU Rec memberships are available to encourage students to indulge in healthy practices. Students can avail of BearFIT Classes for cycling, boxing, yoga, etc.
The WashU Campus Shuttle System provides free shuttle services inside the campus. Bikes, specialised car services, charter buses, and carpool services are also available for transit outside the campus. Brown School is at the southeast corner of Washington University's Danforth Campus. The school spreads between 3 buildings - Goldfarb Hall, Brown Hall, and Hillman Hall. The campus is accessible through MetroLink light rail and MetroBus.

Admissions criteria
Admission requirements and fees vary for different courses. A general set of admission requirements are as follows:
Academic transcripts: Needed for all institutions attended, translated to English if in a foreign language. They must be scrutinised by an alternative foreign credential evaluation agency as recommended by the college website.
