Admissions criteria

Shanghai Jiao Tong University, through its 33 colleges and schools, offers more than 100 graduate programmes to international students. The study duration is between 2-3 years (full-time) for graduate programmes and 4 years (full-time) for doctoral programmes. The admission requirements may vary from programme to programme. However, some common criteria include: - A bachelor's degree for graduate course applicants; a master’s degree for those applying for doctorate programmes - Complete the information form - Statement of purpose - 2 letters of recommendation - The applicant's undergraduate transcripts - Graduate admissions test results (GMAT, GRE, and LSAT) - Proficiency in Chinese and/or English - Copy of passport - Resume/CV - Employment certificate (if any) - Minimum scores required: - GRE General: 320 (total), 160 (verbal), 160 (quantitative), 3.5 (analytical) - GMAT: 550 (overall), 25 (verbal), 35 (quantitative), 4.0 (analytical). - IELTS (academic): 6.0 (overall) and 5.5 (subtests) - TOEFL: 85+ - Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): 176+ - Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 180+ For more information, visit the University's admissions section.
