Admissions criteria
Getting admission to one of the most prestigious business schools in the world comes with a checklist. An applicant must submit all of the documents to ensure a successful acceptance. A bachelor's degree is mandatory for every student applying for the master's programme One must submit all official transcripts and the grading scale during application. If any official transcripts are in any other language other than English or French, make sure to get an official copy translated in either of the two One page of the resume in English must be submitted in the IMD CV template. The official template can be downloaded from the link available on the school's website Resume in any other format will not be accepted A minimum work experience of two years is mandatory to be eligible for the master's programme One letter of recommendation is needed from someone who has been the supervisor or reporting manager. They should be able to highlight the applicant's professional achievements and other qualities. The recommender's professional contact details are also required with the letter A minimum GMAT/GRE score of 630 is necessary to qualify for the programme. The result of the test should be less than 5 years Whether the applicant is a resident of Switzerland or an international student, the Admissions team conducts an assessment test to verify the applicant's proficiency in the English language An option for a GMAT waiver is available for specific categories of applicants. If the student belongs to CFA level 2, CPA, CA, PhD or working in analytical fields. The waiver also applies to students with BA or MA in quantitative fields Once the admission criteria are met, there are two routes to gain admission to the IMD Business School - the traditional route and the person assessment route. The traditional process is more focused on the individual himself, where the applicant needs to apply along with the GMAT score and all the necessary documents. Once the application is accepted, the applicant is called for a personal interview and further assessment processes The assessment challenge is for those individuals who don't have the financial capabilities to apply but possess the qualities to become leaders and successful individuals in the industry. In this case, the applicant needs to submit a simplified application with a reduced fee and, if selected, must take part in a dynamic yet interactive online assessment experience. During this assessment activity, the applicants have to perform various activities. The top performers for each challenge receive a scholarship and a position in the upcoming MBA batch. The runner-ups are also offered a position in the same batch
