About the school
The Colorado School of Public Health (ColoradoSPH) opened its doors for students globally in 2008 in Aurora, Colorado. It is the joint effort of the University of Colorado (CU) Anschutz Medical Campus, Colorado State University (CSU), and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) to advance public health in the country and the world.
The school has an impressive alumni network of over 3,000 spread across the globe. Some of the institution’s many successful alumni are Dr. Kelsey Owsley (receiver of the Outstanding Dissertation Award 2023 from AcademyHealth), Samantha Bertomen (project manager at Otowi Group), and Peter DeWitt (associate professor and the director of the Prevention Research Center).
Aurora is one of the most affordable cities to live in in the Denver metro area. It is also home to vintage theatres and history museums, a thriving craft beer scene, and many locally owned restaurants. It also boasts major employment opportunities and is a hub for many medical colleges.

Life at Colorado School of Public Health
International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) at the University of Colorado Denver helps international students become accustomed to their new settings. The department helps over 1,400 international scholars with their academic needs every year.
The CU Anschutz doesn't have on-campus living options. The institution encourages students to look for off-campus accommodations on the (university's website)[https://offcampushousing.ucdenver.edu/]. Homestays, apartments, houses, and other types of housing are typically found around the region. The website even helps students look for suitable roommates. For short-term arrangements, students can use the Rotating Rooms platform as well.
While there is no standard meal plan available, there are multiple cafes and kitchens spread across the campus. Some of these are the T-Street Cafe, Root & Sprig, and Chai & Chai, among others. Near the campus, students can find other options such as Ursula Brewery, Lost Coffee, and Cedar Creek Pub too.
Bus and rail lines run throughout Denver and allow easy access to the campus. At the beginning of the semester, students are given a Regional Transportation District (RTD) College Pass for commuting to and from campus, making transportation easy.
