About the school
China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) was co-founded in 1994 by the Chinese government and the European Union (EU). The business school has campuses in Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen in China, Zurich in Switzerland, and Accra in Ghana.
CEIBS has ranked No. 1 in Asia in the Financial Times ranking of global MBA programmes for seven consecutive years and has ranked among the top 5 on its global EMBA list for five successive years. The School offers MBA, Finance MBA, EMBA, Global EMBA, Hospitality EMBA, DBA (Switzerland), and Executive Education programmes.

At CEIBS, international students enjoy a vibrant and diverse campus life. Various student-organised clubs cover social, athletic, and professional interests while providing students leadership and managerial opportunities. The CEIBS campus has four student dormitory buildings with fully-furnished single and shared rooms, equipped with a telephone, air-conditioning, bathroom, computer network connection, group-study lounges, and satellite TV.
Off-campus housing options can be found through the College listings, which include small 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments near the Shanghai campus. The average rent for these accommodations is RMB 450 - RMB 620.
The CEIBS Shanghai Campus weaves the European and Chinese architectural styles, displaying European-style galleries and Chinese-style courtyards. The campus offers world-class, technologically advanced facilities, high-speed WiFi throughout campus and several meal plans for students in its cafeterias. Meanwhile, the CEIBS Zurich Campus offers multiple lecture theatres, group rooms, office space, and executive apartments.

Admissions criteria
You must possess a Bachelor's degree or above and have full-time work experience of 2 years or more to apply for CEIBS graduate programmes. Additionally, you may have to fulfil other programme requirements to meet their admission eligibility criteria.

After completing the online application, international students need to submit supporting materials:
A personal statement/Statement of Purpose: Required
Letter(s) of recommendation: 2 letters
Undergraduate transcripts (translated into English): Required
Graduate admissions test result (GMAT, GRE, LSAT): May be required by specific programmes
Proof of proficiency in English (e.g. TOEFL/IELTS): May be required by specific programmes
Resume/CV: Required
Application fee: RMB 1,000 for MBA, RMB 1,800 for EMBA

The tuition fee for the 16-month MBA for the 2025 class was RMB 468,000 (covering tuition, teaching materials (excluding textbooks), Internet resources through the campus network, and access to the school's databases, open to MBA students. The tuition fee for the Executive MBA intake is RMB 758,000, and RMB 598,000 for the Finance MBA (FMBA tuition includes textbooks, other teaching materials, school resources, and accommodation and meals).

Job placements
The Career Development Centre (CDC) at CEIBS helps international students identify career interests and develop a career plan, enhancing communication between companies and students.
You will access substantial self-assessment tools, career counselling services, mock interviews, role play, on-campus presentations on potential recruiters, intranet job/internship postings, practicum projects, workshops, and various recruitment fairs.
One of the critical events organised by the College on its campuses includes coffee chats.
These events are hosted for all courses (MBA, EMBA, FMBA, etc.) available at the institution.
