About the school

The University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston was established in 1963 under the administration of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). In 2022, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences was renamed The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

The University of Texas, Houston Health Science Center, commonly referred to as “The Med Center” has also been ranked among the Top 10 Schools of Public Health by the College Gazette in 2019 and among the Top 25 Schools of Public Health by U.S. News & World Report in 2021.

Admissions criteria
