About the school
University of Bridgeport - College of Science and Society was founded 1947 on the Seaside Park Campus in Conneticut. At its inception, many new majors and schools were added, adding to the diversification of ideas and opportunities. The university is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education and the Connecticut Office of Higher Education.
With a vibrant and globally diverse campus, the university welcomes students from more than 80 countries. Academically diverse, the university offers several master's degrees in various fields such as Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Analytics, Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Chiropractic, Computer Science and Engineering, Dental Hygiene, Behavioral Science, Natural Science and Mathematics, and many more.

The University of Bridgeton is located in the city of Connecticut. The city is well-known for its several architectural monuments and museums, such as Mystic Aquarium, which showcases beluga whales. In addition, students can find a diverse range of hiking trails to explore during their off time.
Life at College of Science and Society
The University of Bridgeport campus cultivates engaged and empowered students in a peaceful environment. The housing options include University Place, which offers apartment-style housing for graduates and professional students with one- and two-bedrooms.. The second housing option is Barnum Hall, located near the Marina Dining Hall. It is a co-ed style residence hall that offers standard double rooms with a limited number of single rooms. The rooms are well-equipped with a micro-fridge unit, dresser, closet, bed, desk, chair, WiFi, and many more. The numerous dining options on campus are unmatched.
There are around 60 clubs and organisations for students to participate in. A graduate in science student can choose from options such as the Aerospace Club, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Club, the Biology Club, the Black Student Alliance, among many others.
