The University of Arizona was established in 1885, and Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is one of 19 colleges under the university. Founded in 2000, the college is located on the university campus in Tucson, Arizona.

Admissions criteria

Admission requirements and fees vary for different courses. A general set of admission requirements is as follows:

The application must be submitted on SOPHAS, the centralised application service for public health GRE scores may be required based on the graduation programme of interest A GPA of 3.00 in the degree that is required for the graduate programme you are applying to At least 2 letters of recommendation, with a maximum of 5 letters Resume or CV listing all accomplishments to date Statement of purpose and objectives mentioning: Reasons for interest in public health Reasons for interest in the programme and specific concentration Reasons for interest in the University of Arizona Career goals Mission and values statement in 250 words or less Resilience statement (optional) mentioning any obstacles you had to overcome For those from countries where English is not the official language, proof of language proficiency is required: TOEFL - minimum 90 (iBT) IELTS - minimum 7 Pearson - minimum 60 Graduate English Language Endorsement from the Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) CEPT Full Academic test offered by CESL - minimum 110 For the student visa - an I-20 or DS-2019 form with proof of finances Must carry the Student Health Insurance Plan

The University's Student Engagement & Career Development (SECD) department is in charge of preparing all graduates for a larger career goal and helping them be aligned with opportunities available outside of the campus.
