About the school
The College of Arts and Science offers a diverse range of courses to establish a broad learning base as the foundation. The College's curriculum is designed so that the students get the time to explore even the minor programmes that reflect their areas of interest besides their specialised knowledge. The College offers many opportunities for students to have hands-on experience in the fields in which they are pursuing their master's degree.
The students can work on various internships, service learnings and extracurricular activities to broaden their real-life knowledge. The College of Arts and Social Sciences faculty can mentor the students better due to smaller class sizes. Independent thinking, diverse cultures and different perspectives are welcome and encouraged at the college.

The student life at the College of Arts and Science is truly unique. The institute's location offers an excellent opportunity for the students to explore the place and have a life beyond the four walls of the classroom.
For most students, pursuing a master's programme at the College of Arts and Science is more like starting a new life in Boston. Although it is the capital city of Massachusetts, the students never run out of housing options. But the College always takes care that the students are located in a safe locality, which is also near the campus. The residence halls of the university housing complex are spread across downtown Boston. With more than three locations, the college offers students a unique opportunity to make the city a part of their college experience.
The College always encourages students to take part in various activities beyond academics. Students can choose their level of involvement in the various activities - whether they wish to lead a particular group, work as a volunteer or be a member of any of the clubs. The Office of Student Leadership and Involvement helps the students find where to start. With more than 100 clubs to choose from, the students can participate and enjoy in whichever community they feel the most attracted to. Students needing financial assistance can use Suffolk's federal study work programme. Multiple opportunities are available throughout the university. According to last year's data, more than 1400 students were employed within university approved off-campus regions.
Those interested in athletics can be a part of the Athletic community of the college. Those interested in performing arts and community engagement can also be a part of those. The performing arts community is built with the vision that it helps connect the students with the cultural world of Boston. Whether the student loves to be on stage as an actor, comedian, singer, dancer, or anything else, the performing arts community offers them a platform.

Admissions criteria
Wanting to pursue a master's degree in one of the most prestigious colleges requires a bit of research and the right information. Even after qualifying for the eligibility criteria, one must submit all the necessary documents to be considered for the programme. The admission requirements are as follows:
The application fee payment A bachelor's degree from any regionally accredited university is necessary for students pursuing a master's degree Transcripts from all the previously attended institutes A statement of purpose addressing how the student wishes to benefit from the degree An updated resume with all the past work experiences, research, volunteering activities, awards and honours Two letters of recommendation Personal Interviews are mandatory which would be mentioned during the application process
For international students, a few extra requirements are needed in addition to the ones above. Course-by-course evaluation of their academic credentials Scores for the English Proficiency Test is a must. The minimum cut-off for TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Essentials is 80 and 8.5, respectively For IELTS, the minimum score is 6.5 For Duolingo, the cut-off score is 110
Job placements
Boston offers a vast amount of opportunities to students once they complete their master's degree. Based on the 2018-19 data, 100% of the students graduating the same year were employed within 1 year after completing their degree Students graduating with master's in art fields like history, arts, etc., are placed in some of the country's most renowned art galleries and museums
