Since 1916, South Dakota State University (SDSU) has held accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). In the latest reevaluation spanning from 2019 to 2020, SDSU underwent an extensive review under the Open Pathway comprehensive process. Notably, on November 4-5, 2019, SDSU welcomed an HLC Peer Review Team for an on-site assessment.
