Prodigy Finance will award 8 scholarships across 6 categories, with prizes ranging from $1,000 - $8,000, to outstanding students starting their academic journey from August 2025.

Eligibility
Eligibility varies depending on the individual scholarship for which you are applying. Generally, you are eligible to apply for an international student scholarship with Prodigy Finance if you’re:
Beginning your postgraduate studies in the Fall 2025 semester
Admitted to a Prodigy-supported program of study
Students applying for the Study North Carolina Scholarship may be attending any of the organization’s supported schools
From a Prodigy supported region
A high-potential individual who can articulate how these funds will impact their ability to earn a degree.
Willing to share your story on our platforms (see Terms and Conditions)
You can only submit one scholarship application. You may submit a scholarship application regardless of where you are in the loan or admissions process during the open period
How does it work?
Fill out the form and submit your entry during the application period from 14 March to 14 April 2025 (8:00 AM EST).
Ensure you have or will have been accepted to a Prodigy-supported program of study for the Fall semester 2025 by 2 May 2025.
Submissions for each category will be reviewed by an internal committee and narrowed to 10 finalists. Winners will be selected from the group of finalists and the remaining finalists will be considered alternates if a winner is unable to fulfill requirements.
Scholarship recipient announcement: 2 May 2025
Winners can choose to have their funds disbursed directly to their school as a tuition payment or credit to their total loan amount, depending on the Terms and Conditions of the award. If you need to defer your studies, your funds will be held for one semester. Scholarship funds are intended for study and will not be released directly to student bank accounts or during non study periods.

How are scholarship applications assessed?
Scholarship recipients are chosen based on eligibility for their chosen scholarship category and our internal assessment criteria.
Our internal shortlisting procedure will consider the following:
Skills-based criteria: Your written ability to articulate answers to entry essay questions; the quality of your writing skills, and the clarity of your written thoughts.
Motivational criteria: The content of your answers to entry essay questions. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate:

Career and personal goals
Need and impact for scholarship and funding
Desire to help others access their academic dreams
