Will I be charged any late fees if my funds are disbursed after the schools disbursement date?

We work very closely with all schools to determine when the disbursement of your loan will happen and to ensure you don’t incur any late fees.

In the very rare case that late fees are incurred and it is our fault, we’ll work with the school to come up with a solution to cover those fees.

Prodigy Finance loans are only finalised when borrowers arrive on campus.

Weighing up travel arrangements and class start dates often prompts students to ask about specific loan disbursal dates - and whether theirs will be transfered on time.

Q: My class starts on 21 Aug and I'm reaching the US on 18 Aug 18; will my loan be disbursed on time if I only sign on 18 Aug?

A: While this isn’t the ideal situation, the majority of schools provide exceptions for Prodigy Finance-funded students - as long as Prodigy Finance approaches them well in advance.

If your arrival date falls near a school’s payment due date, get in touch with us as soon as possible to see if an exception can be arranged.
