About the school

The Moritz College of Law, also known as Michael E. Moritz College of Law, Ohio State University, was founded in 1891. The college is located in Drinko Hall on the university's main campus. It is accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and is a charter member of the Association of American Law Schools. In 2019, the Moritz College of Law was ranked as the 26th best law school in the U.S. by Above the Law. In 2016, the school was ranked as the 5th best public law school in America and the 18th best law school in America. Also, the U.S. News and World Report ranked the college as the 22nd-best law school in the U.S. in 2023.

The OSU-Moritz College of Law offers master's programmes in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Legal Environment of Business, Health Law, Compliance, and Intellectual Property and Technology Law.

The Moritz College of Law has numerous accommodation options for its students. However, due to recent renovation, graduate accommodation is limited. It's advisable to visit the OSU Housing to check availability. Available options range from university-operated complexes and apartments for families to privately owned apartments near the Moritz College of Law. Students can also opt to stay in the Neil Avenue building. This building is equipped with refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges, and microwaves. Graduate and professional housing on the South Campus also has on-site retail shops, laundry facilities, conference rooms, and study lounges.

The Moritz College of Law’s Buckeye Village caters for married students and students with dependent children. It is a 390-unit apartment building that offers one or two-bedroom apartments with the advantage of safe and practical accommodation at a reasonable price. The campus bus serves Buckeye Village's residents, who live about two miles from the Moritz College of Law. At this time, Buckeye Village is not accepting new candidates. However, students can contact the college housing officials to check availability.
