About the school
Morgan State University School of Engineering addresses the needs and challenges of the modern urban environment through intense community-level study and pioneering solutions. Morgan State University was established in 1867 as a Carnegie-classified high research (R2) institution providing instruction to a multiethnic, multiracial, multinational student body. It offers more than 140 academic programmes leading to degrees from the baccalaureate to the doctorate. Maryland's Preeminent Public Urban Research University has graduated more than 55,000 degree candidates since its establishment more than 150 years ago. Admissions criteria
At Morgan State University, students have access to various opportunities for personal growth and development. Students will receive the 360 campus life experience through structured and informal programs and leadership opportunities throughout the academic year. It is recommended to thoroughly research the admission criteria of the course before filling out the application form. Admissions: - Prospective Grad Students may start by filling out an application - Only students with an undergraduate cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 will be considered for admission. Students with an undergraduate cumulative GPA between 2.5 and 2.99 may be considered for conditional admission. The Dean of the School of Graduate Studies makes final decisions on graduate admissions - Students should have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university - Official copy of transcripts from all institutions attended - Provide test scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT), the aptitude portion of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE), or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) (If required) - Have three letters of recommendation - Submit a one-page personal statement of academic and professional plans - Completed at least 12 semester hours with a cumulative point average of at least "B" - For international students, an official transcript showing a bachelor's or master's degree from a U.S. college or university or an international college or university where English is the principal language of instruction - A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS score
