Loyola College Chicago’s College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), founded in 1870 and has continued the 450-year-old Jesuit legacy of rigorous academic study that is firmly rooted in the liberal arts. The institution provides an appropriate environment for students to grow in fields of humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences, spanning two campuses - the Lake Shore Campus (LSC) and the Water Tower Campus (WTC). Admissions criteria
Generally, applications require the following to secure admission at the College of Arts and Sciences: - Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution - Completed application - GPA score of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale - Complete personal information form - A personal statement written by the applicant - Letters of recommendation - Statement of purpose - Official transcripts - GMAT/GRE International students must meet the following additional requirements: - Proof of English proficiency: You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL Internet-Based exam: 79, IELTS: 6.0 and 6.5 each subsection, Duolingo: 105, and Pearson Test of Academic English: 53. - The applicant’s undergraduate transcripts, which must be translated into English - Applicants with non-U.S. educational credentials are required to submit official education credentials for evaluation at any NACES (National Association of Credential Evaluation Services) member company.
