About the school
Established in 1863 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools, La Salle University's School of Business is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In January 2016, the School inaugurated its forward-thinking learning facility, dedicated to delivering quality business education to aspiring students. The institution integrates scholarship across disciplines to foster a deeper understanding of the world while nurturing a sense of community and transcendent connection. This technologically advanced business school combines theory with practical experience, aligning with the Lasallian principle of learning through action. The School's curriculum prepares students for impactful futures, equipping them with the skills and perspectives necessary for success in a global context. Sandra Garby (VP Operations, Vizinex RFID), Tom Curley (co-creator, former president of USA Today), and Larry Miller (president Jordan Brand) are some of the famous alumni of the University. The most famous is former president John F. Kennedy, who received an honorary degree from La Salle in 1958. Philadelphia, commonly called “Philly”, is rich in historical places such as the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall—where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed.
