How to get admission to IUPUI School of Science?
Getting admission to the School of Science at IUPUI is not as intimidating if you’re a science enthu-cutlet and have a clean educational record. While each department has its own admission requirements, there are some general ones. Have a look.
There are two primary ways to get into the School of Science: Direct Admission and Admission through University College.
Requirements for Direct Admission
- A high school GPA of 3.3 or more and evidence of Maths readiness in your respective major. OR,
- A high school GPA of 3.0 with minimum SAT scores of 1080 (530 in Math) or minimum ACT scores of 21 composite and 21 in math.
Requirements for Admission as a Current IUPUI Student
If you’re a part of any other school on the IUPUI campus, you’ll still need to apply to the School of Science to be declared a science major. - GPA of 2.0 or more is necessary for admission. - All requirements of Direct Admission should also be met. - Lastly, you must fill out an internal application form.
Besides the requirements mentioned above, you’ll need previous transcripts, language scores like TOEFL/IELTS (especially as an international student), a statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation.
