Indiana University School of Dentistry offers a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) course. The admission criteria for this are:
- A full academic record including a DAT score
- Letters of recommendation
- A personal interview
- A shadowing experience
- A Kira assessment
- The students' motivation, character, personality, and ethical standards.
- A bachelor's degree before enrolling in dental school
- Adequate motor skills
- A rich observation, sensory, auditory, communication, cognitive, and tactile skills.
- Stable emotional health and the ability to implement their intellectual capabilities to their full potential

The International Dentist Programme (IU-IDP) is intended for qualified graduates with dentistry education. This programme helps the individual procure a license to practice in the U.S. after earning a D.D.S. degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry. The school will accept students who are:
- U.S. or Canadian citizens
- Permanent residents
- In possession of a valid visa as no visitor visas will be accepted
- Fees can be found on the school website
