Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai was established in 1968 and has been a leader in medical and graduate education, research, and health care delivery. The institute houses 44 research, educational, and clinical institutes, 36 academic departments, 300+ research labs, and 27 faculty members elected to the National Academy of Medicine and/or the National Academy of Sciences. Admissions criteria
The admission requirements at the Icahn School of Medicine are as follows: - An undergraduate degree in a related field - A completed application along with $80 - $100 application fee - Current curriculum vitae or resume - Two letters of recommendation from people who can directly assess your ability to conduct independent research - Personal statement clearly explaining your motivation for obtaining this degree and desired outcomes from this degree program(optional)
International Applicants must additionally submit the following: - Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or testing equivalent with a score of 100 or higher, or equivalent (such as IELTS, CAE, PTE). Applicants submitting IELTS scores (minimum score of 7.5) - Transcripts from colleges and universities outside the United States and Canada must be evaluated and translated by World Education Services or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES)
