About the school
Pursuing a legal career can be challenging and fulfilling for those passionate about the legal profession. The Florida International University's College of Law provides excellent educational programmes for law students across the United States. Established in 2000, the American Bar Association accredited the law school, the only public law school in South Florida. Since July 2015, more than 87% of the school's graduates have passed the bar exam on their first attempt, making it the top-ranked law school in Florida.

Admissions criteria
Applicants to graduate programmes at the College of Law should be aware that certain programmes may have specific admission requirements and prerequisites in addition to general guidelines. Please consult the school's website for up-to-date and detailed information about your programme.
Generally, applications require the following types of information:
- A completed application for admission that requires approximately $20.00 non-refundable application fee
- Admissions test scores of the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
- Students must take the test to apply for programmes at the College of Law
- The school does not accept LSAT scores earned before June 2017
- GRE test score
- Official transcript from each undergraduate, graduate, and professional school, which students must send directly to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC)
- Resume or CV with examples of professional, academic, civic, and extracurricular accomplishments
- 1 or 2 letters of recommendation
- Personal statement
Filling out the residency classification form, which may also require the submission of additional documents depending on your state of residence
Students wishing to enrol in the College of Law who do not have English as their native language must submit TOEFL scores to showcase English language proficiency
If you receive a score of 156 or more on the LSAT, you may request a waiver of the TOEFL examination from the Office of Admissions
