Admissions criteria
Admissions to the College of Engineering are limited. The decision is made after a departmental review of test scores, academic records, recommendations, qualifications and experience, and the proposed programme of study. Here are the minimum criteria requirements for admission:

Completion of Mathematics 132 and 133 with a minimum 2.0 in each course and a grade-point average of the same in all mathematics courses

Completion of Engineering 102 or 231 or Computer Science Engineering 220 or approved substitution

Students will be admitted once they have completed 56 credits. However, credits or scores in the bachelor's degree programme can vary based on the agenda.
In addition to the mentioned requirements, international students must prove their fluency in English
International students can submit an ACT or SAT score. Applicants must request that the testing agency send scores directly to Michigan State University
SAT Exam: Evidence-based reading and writing score of 510 or higher on an exam with a composite score of 1110 or higher
ACT Exam: Score of 18 or higher on the English section on an exam with a composite score of 23 or higher
Applicants who do not take SAT or ACT must meet one of the following language proficiency requirements:
TOEFL iBT: Score of 79 with subscore 17 or higher
IELTS: Score of 6.5 or higher
Duolingo English Test: Minimum score of 110
Michigan State University English Language Test (MSUELT): Average score of at least 80 with no subscore below 80
