Nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Tennessee, East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is surrounded by scenic lakes, charming towns and a mix of urban and rural communities. ETSU was established in 1991 and has since expanded, particularly in offering a Master of Public Health. The College of Public Health at ETSU is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The Association of Schools and Programmes of Public Health (ASPPH) has accepted it as a full member. The College of Public Health offers various courses and degrees, including a Master in Health Administration, Business Administration with a Healthcare Marketing Concentration, Clinical Nutrition, Speech-Language Pathology, Nursing, and more. It is widely regarded as one of the best colleges in the state for Public Health education.

Life at the College of Public Health
The College of Public Health campus is surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains, with several recreational TVA lakes. The Appalachian Trail is just 20 minutes from the campus, making it easier for the students to go hiking with their mates on a great weekend. The surroundings are an outdoor paradise for students.
The college campus is a home away from home. Here, the students can take advantage of the various amenities and facilities. The student groups, clubs, and organisations help develop and shape a student's passion and zest for life. Besides the learning experience, the campus community helps build leadership and personal skills.
You can choose from more than 240 student organisations and participate in athletics, fraternity, and sorority life. The student organisation aims to enhance communication with university staff and offers high-quality programmes. Students can also participate in annual cultural events to reduce stress during study.
There are two housing options available for students - one for females only and the other is co-ed. The All Female Hall comprises Luntsford Apartment and West Hall. Luntsford Apartment consists of five floors and offers double occupancy, which can accommodate approximately 181 female students. The apartment also includes laundry rooms and a vending machine for the convenience of the residents. West Hall, however, has three floors with double occupancy. Each floor has a bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and vending machine. The co-ed residence consists of five halls - Centennial Hall, Lucille Clement Hall, Powell Hall, Davis Apartments, and Governor's Hall.

Tennessee is an adventure town, and ETSU is an adventure campus. The area's natural splendour provides an outstanding setting for university living. Upon arriving on campus, students are welcomed by the majestic mountains surrounding them. The 360-acre campus boasts a five-mile trail network, which includes the University Woods, a portion of the Old-Growth Forest Network. Here, students can enjoy hiking or biking in between classes. ETSU prides itself on offering a unique "living classroom" experience, thanks to the more than 200 tree species in the surrounding area.
Furthermore, obtaining a degree from ETSU is much more affordable than one might expect, making it an excellent investment in oneself. The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is available to assist students in fulfilling their dream of obtaining a college degree. Admissions criteria
The student's ability to gain admission into the College of Public Health is judged based on scholarship letters of recommendation, among other factors.
