East Carolina University - College of Engineering and Technology (CET) has a long-standing history dating back to 1935. Unparalleled in North Carolina, CET provides an extensive range of programmes focused on applied technology and engineering. Its unique curriculum includes Master's degrees in various prominent fields, including over 70 master's programmes and several doctoral and professional degree programmes. Aerospace Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Bioengineering, Computer Engineering, etc. are some of the engineering domains that are represented by the faculty. CET aims to train future leaders in technology for the 21st century. The institution is dedicated to fostering innovation, promoting research, and encouraging entrepreneurship. The College of Engineering and Technology at East Carolina University provides a student-focused environment, stressing comprehensive growth. Their Student Success Centre aids students in exploring success outside the realm of academics by facilitating personal development and career planning. The centre links students with mentors, counsellors, and many beneficial resources to nurture a forward-thinking attitude towards enduring success. Housing The College of Engineering and Technology provides a variety of housing options to meet the diverse needs of its student body. On-campus residence halls and apartments are available, and students also have the opportunity to serve as Resident Advisors. This role comes with perks such as single-occupancy rooms, meal plans, stipends, and skill development opportunities. For those desiring more independence, the university also offers off-campus housing options, complete with comprehensive support and resources to facilitate a smooth transition. As a norm, first-year graduate students are expected to reside on campus for at least two semesters. However, some exceptions apply. Meals Across the campus, a diverse range of dining options is available for students. Choices of dining venues span from West End Dining Hall and Todd Dining Hall to The Galley and Reade Street Market. These locations provide a plethora of meal options throughout the day. For those who prefer more branded options, the University offers a vast variety of fast-food chains, including but not limited to, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Subway, and Panda Express. Transportation The College of Engineering and Technology offers a highly organised transportation system to cater to its diverse student body. ECU Transit provides a comprehensive network, including campus routes, off-campus living routes, and park-and-ride commuter routes. The city also offers on-demand transit services, helping students get around safely both day and night. Also, ECU Transit collaborates with Pirate Access to support riders with mobility impairments.

Admissions criteria

Job placements
The College of Engineering and Technology (CET) at East Carolina University has a Career Development and Leadership Centre (CDLC) that provides comprehensive career support for students. This includes career planning, resume development, job searches, interview preparation, networking, and much more. The CDLC also hosts numerous events for real-world exposure and collaborates with the Department of Career Services for student support. Roughly 95% of its alumni obtain engineering positions within three months of post-graduation. These graduates proceed to engage in further graduate and professional postgraduate studies. The Engineering Department pays Junior and Senior Engineering students for tutoring in Mathematics, Science, and Engineering at the Pirate Academic Success Centre.
