CUNY-Baruch College has a rich history dating back to 1847, when it was founded as the Free Academy, marking its distinction as the nation's first independent public institution for higher education. The Zicklin School of Business at the College was established in 1919. With more than 10,000 students engaged in its programmes, Zicklin is the largest business school in the United States.

Admissions criteria

Application requirements include:

    • Official transcripts in English
    • A graduate admissions test result (GMAT, GRE, or LSAT)
    • Resume/CV
    • Candidates who received their education outside the US might need to pass an English proficiency test
    • Please Note: Students are not required to take the English proficiency exam if they:
    • Finished a post-secondary programme in the US, earning a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate
    • Held a post-secondary diploma
    • Prove that they attended a US school for grades 1 through 12 (elementary, middle, and high school are all necessary)
    • Proof of English proficiency: You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL: 80, IELTS: 7, Duolingo: 120, and PTE: 70.

    - Please Note: All students must provide documentation of their MMR immunisation and a waiver for their meningitis immunisation before registering for courses. Verify and submit the required immunisations. If necessary, the Student Health Centre provides free immunisations and charges a fee if a student needs a blood test.
