About the school
Two Philadelphia school principals established an educational institution in 1890 to empower young women in an era of rigid societal norms. The school, founded by Susan L. Heron and Ida B. Hood, has undergone extensive growth and transformation over 130 years. The business school is the sole private college in Tennessee accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International for business and accounting. Students have access to innovative academic and practical learning experiences, helped by the globally-recognised faculty. Notable business school alums include Valerie R. Love (senior VP, HR, The Coca-Cola Company), Mark Tulloch (CEO, 7 Springs Orthopedics), and Kendall Peters (manager, sales programmes, MuleSoft at Salesforce). Nashville is renowned for its vibrant music scene and iconic honky-tonk bars. The city offers international students a location to immerse in a culture steeped in live country music performances.
