The College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences (CAAS) is busy researching and discovering the essentials for tomorrow. CAAS is mainly concerned with finding answers to the burning questions of our lifetime, which include food for an ever-growing population and combating climate change. CAAS also takes the initiative to develop sustainable practices using the available resources. The College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences aims to improve people's lives through education, discovery, and outreach. It believes all these exercises will open the path to ethical and sustainable use of land, food, water, and economic resources. The college of Agriculture and Applied Sciences aims to improve the health and well-being of humans, plants, animals, and the entire habitat.

Life at the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences

Utah State University has the oldest residential campus. Several activities run throughout the year enabling students to network with each other. Campus recreation enhances student's college experiences by conducting plays, wellness activities, and adventures. Multipurpose facilities at The Aggie Recreation Center, HPER Building, and Fieldhouse help students stay fit and active. Additionally, many fitness facilities are available for students on campus. CAAS takes the initiative to help students connect to the local and regional environment, educating them on how to recreate on public lands with responsibilities through its Outdoor Programmes. The programme includes planned trips, accessing outdoor equipment, and training in outdoor skills and leadership. 23 TEAMS allows students to participate in intercollegiate athletic and intramural activities, plus train in physical education. Students play organised sports in a recreational and competitive atmosphere through Intramural activities. CAAS events are held every year include the Welcome Event, CAAS Week, Ag Products BBQ, Chili Cookoff, and several others to keep students engaged and in good shape. In addition, the natural beauty of Logan City is a bonus. It has a rich natural landscape supported by ski resorts, lakes, rivers, and mountains, labelling it as the finest recreational environment.

Students here can follow their passion and apply their training to make a positive and meaningful contribution through service and civic engagement. Student Involvement offers students opportunities for co-curricular involvement, empowering them with leadership skills. Students can choose from the 200 student-run clubs and organisations to engage themselves. In addition, students are free to start their own clubs if they can't find a suitable one. Students can involve themselves in Greek life to explore leadership and service opportunities or to connect with high achievers, friends, and activities. The university has six extremely active sororities and fraternities on its campus. Students can join The HURD, a student-led organisation bringing Aggie spirit, pride, and tradition to Utah State. Joining enables students to access regular season home athletic events with their Student ID card. Students benefit by connecting with an organisation that is smart, unified, creative, and full of craziness.

Admissions criteria

Students must meet and submit the following requirements for admission: -A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or internationally -Score at or above the 40th percentile -Graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.0 -A non-refundable application fee -GRE, GMAT, or MAT according to the intended programme -All official college transcripts -Three letters of recommendation -Unique supplement items after application for individual graduate programmes International students must additionally submit the following documents: -English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) scores -A copy of their passport -Proof of financial support (affidavit of financial support or bank statements) -Translations of transcripts in a sealed envelope.
