The college dates back to 1891 and was renamed the College of Mines and Earth Sciences in 1988. This institute consists of four departments: Atmospheric Sciences, Geology and Geophysics, Metallurgical and Materials Science and Engineering, and Mining Engineering. It offers varied educational and experiential learning resources for successful and impactful careers.

Admissions criteria
The College of Mines and Earth Sciences offers engineering courses in various disciplines. Some courses require students to have a degree in a relevant field or additional criteria for application. It is recommended to check these details on the college website.
