About the school
Since its foundation in 1967, the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) has come a long way. Back then, it started with a modest cohort of 155 students and a faculty of 28 members. Today, UTM has emerged as the second-largest department within the University of Toronto. Its dynamic community now includes over 15,200 undergraduate students, 900 graduate students, and 3,400 reliable full and part-time staff.
The Institute for Management and Innovation (IMI) is the soul of UTM's growth. This remarkable institute is an epicentre where various fields like management, science, technology, and more, intersect to encourage the next generation of leaders and creators. IMI's array of graduate programmes reflect this interdisciplinary ethos. These include the esteemed Master of Management of Innovation (MMI), the cutting-edge Master of Biotechnology (MBiotech), and the specialised Master of Forensic Accounting (MFAcc).
Where is the school located?
The Institute for Management and Innovation is the main Mississauga Campus on the greenbelt along the Credit River. The green surroundings not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the campus, but also contribute to a sense of tranquility, fostering a conducive atmosphere for learning and research.

The Mississauga campus of the University of Toronto offers various housing options, including single and double rooms, apartments, and townhouses. These rooms have the amenities that students need to feel at home. Living on campus can also help you succeed in your academics. Students can earn higher GPAs and more credits by participating in transition programmes.
Mississauga Residence offers LLCs, traditional dorms, townhouses, and suites for first-year students. All rooms are fully furnished and have semi-private washrooms. The students get diverse options for on-campus dining for both on and off-campus residents. Students can also participate in over 100 student leadership and development opportunities.
The campus of Mississauga also provides many additional support services, such as 24/7 confidential support for students' school health or general life concerns at no cost.

- Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre: offers graduate students appointments, workshops, writing groups, chats, and many more career centre resources to help them succeed in their academic and non-academic career searches.
- UTM Career Centre: This centre has in-person and online resources to help you with your career. Whether you are planning an academic path or a job outside of academia, the UTM Career Centre will help you.
- Automatic Entrance Scholarship: UTM offers entrance scholarships to eligible students based on their academic excellence. Both domestic students and students from other countries are eligible for this scholarship.
- UTM Stem Scholars Programme: This mentorship program for black students interested in STEM provides high-achieving students with support and resources throughout their academic journey.

- The International Education Centre: assists students in areas like finding immigration resources, UHIP coverage, study abroad info, Service Canada access, cultural transition, ESL skills, and more.

More than 5,000 students participate in work-study programmes annually. The Mississauga campus of the University of Toronto has 18 academic units, of which 15 are departments and 3 are institutions. Has more than 180 undergraduate and graduate programs and 90 areas of study for students. According to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), UTM has a sustainable campus rating of silver.
Admissions criteria
After applying, you will get an email with login information to join the University of Toronto applicant website, where students must submit the documents below.
Documents to be submitted for application: Resume One-page personal statement Letter of intent Two academic letters of reference Official transcripts TOEFL/IELTS Score GMAT or GRE Score
Students should have a 4-year academic undergraduate degree in any one of the below disciplines: Science Health Sciences Life Sciences Engineering Information Technology Any technical or science-driven degree
The student should have completed a Calculus or STS undergraduate course They should have obtained a 3.3 GPA or higher in the last two years The student will have to pass the mathematics and writing skills test, which is part of the application

UTM Career Centre provides resources, counseling, and programmes for skill development, career exploration, and post-graduation planning, enhancing students' readiness.
Work Study Programme: University of Toronto offers paid part-time on-campus jobs for undergraduate or graduate students. Students can earn money, learn new skills, and explore their career options. Career and Co-Curricular Learning Network: CLNx is an online portal for U of T students to access Career Centre services. It has hundreds of postings for part-time, volunteer, casual, summer, and work-study opportunities both on and off campus. Students must attend a NITIGWN orientation session to access the full-time job board. Co-Curricular Record: CCR is an official document that recognises and connects your extracurricular activities to skills employers seek. The UTM Career Centre has eight CCR bundles to help students develop their careers.
