About the school
Originally founded as University of Texas at San Antonio - College of Engineering, the College was renamed the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design in 2021. The Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design (CEID) is the technological wing of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). UTSA was founded in 1969 in San Antonio, Texas, and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Klesse College is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
The University of Texas at San Antonio has an impressive alumni strength of over 151,000 members. Some of Klesse College's famous alumni are Roland Green (senior member of technical staff at Cerebras System), Hakima Ibaroudene (manager R&D of Bioinformatics section at the AI department at Southwest Research Institute), and Nguyen Nguen (data scientist at NXP Semiconductors), among others.
San Antonio is one of the most livable cities in the US due to its low cost of living and affordable utilities. Known as the home of the Alamo, it offers a rich Spanish and Old West heritage.

Life at College of Engineering
With over 1,000 international students as Roadrunners on campus, the International Student Services has its work cut out for it. They offer group counselling sessions to help students acclimatise to their new environment. They also offer one-on-one counselling through virtual and telephone appointments. There is an English Language Center on campus to help non-native English speakers grasp the language better.
The UTSA campus offers 6 living options, ranging from traditional residence halls to apartment-style living. Located on the main campus, five of them are operated by UTSA Housing and Residence Life:
Alvarez Hall: Houses over 600 students in two-bedroom suites across 4 floors Chaparral Village: Has two and four-bedroom suites, as well as four-bedroom double occupancy units with bunk-style twin beds in each room Chisholm Hall: Has large double and triple occupancy rooms and is located next to the Roadrunner cafe Guadalupe Hall:Houses 200 fully furnished double-occupancy rooms Laurel Village: Apartment-style living with two and four-bedroom suites
The University Oaks apartment community on the main campus is owned and operated by Campus Living Villages and has one to four-bedroom apartments. The UTSA Student Affairs department maintains records of off-campus rentals near the Main and Downtown campuses for students wishing to live outside the College premises.
The university has dining plans for both residents and non-residents. The Roadrunner plans offer unlimited entry into the Roadrunner cafe and unlimited meals, meal trades, and dining dollars to spend on other restaurants on campus. The Rowdy plans have a fixed number of meals per semester, dining dollars, and meal trades, and are meant for off-campus students.
The VIA U-Pass gives students free and unlimited access to the VIA Metropolitan Transit bus service between and through the campus. UTSA is a bike-friendly campus, with free cycling classes and bike racks spread across campus. The BeakCycle programme allows free bike-share services on the main campus. Carpool options are listed on the University's website.

Supporting UTSA's vision to become a premier research institute, the College has been one of the schools that has utilised the UTSA research expenditure of $134 million in 2020. The Makerspace is one of its primary resources, with collaborative spaces, a machine shop, and 3D printers. Impressively, it has an open-to-all policy. Admissions criteria
Admission requirements and fees vary for different courses. A general set of admission requirements is as follows:
Complete and submit an online Graduate Admissions Application by paying the application fee Submit a transcript with proof of degree, duly translated to English if the transcript is in a different language GRE or GMAT score, depending on the programme, no more than 5 years old Proof of English language proficiency: TOEFL internet-based test (IBT): minimum score of 79 TOEFL paper-based test (ITP): minimum score of 550 IELTS: minimum score of 6.5 Duolingo English Test (DET): minimum score of 100 Proof of finances and a visa
