Life at College of Business

The College of Business has a dynamic environment that fosters interaction among students and enhances their familiarity with the Campus. The School encourages students to get involved in a range of extracurricular activities and initiatives, ranging from sports clubs and volunteering opportunities to student government. University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) boasts a robust athletic programme, which includes NCAA Division I sports teams for both men and women. There are two student centres, namely The University Center and The Commons. These are equipped with a range of amenities, including dining areas and meeting and ballroom spaces. The UTA Housing provides on-campus accommodation in several residence halls and apartments. These buildings offer fully furnished rooms. Residence halls present a unique opportunity for interaction and campus involvement. Conversely, apartments provide a higher level of privacy and extra space, albeit at a higher cost. UTA Dining caters to its students' culinary needs at two accessible eating facilities at the core of the student centres- The Connection Cafe and the Maverick Cafe. With offerings ranging from comfort food, soups, salads, hamburgers, and pasta to pizzas, these cafes present a wide menu selection. Vegetarian and vegan options are also included in the menu assortment. For an enjoyable dining experience, indoor and outdoor seating arrangements are available. UTA Dining also serves a brick-oven pizzeria and a speciality grill. Multiple shuttle routes operate across the Campus, including a dedicated shopping shuttle service to the nearest mall. Furthermore, students have the option to avail themselves of car-sharing services such as ZipCar or use public transportation like Via. UTA also facilitates advanced, self-driving shuttle services on the Campus.

The UTA College of Business houses some academies and centres that promote research, innovation, and entrepreneurship and shape the business leaders of the future. The Goolsby Leadership and RISE Academies provide students the opportunity to enhance their professional and leadership skills by participating in experiential learning, scholar interactions and engagement with entrepreneurs, c suite executives and professional leaders. These events help them traverse the challenges posed by the everchanging complex business world. The Research Incubator Seminar Series, organised every year by the School, is a forum for scholars to present their research works and collaborate with researchers.

Admissions criteria

International students who wish to enrol in a graduate programme at the UTA College of Business should adhere to the following general admission requirements. - A minimum GPA of 3.0.
