About the school

From humble beginnings as a civic college in 1881, Nottingham College expanded and shifted to the present main campus, University Park, in 1928. In 1948, Nottingham’s College was bestowed the Royal Charter, a formal grant issued by a monarch, and it became the University of Nottingham.

Admissions criteria

Students who want to apply for their chosen graduate courses at the Nottingham University Business School must:

  • Provide a 2:1 or equivalent undergraduate degree
  • Show 3-5 years of full-time working experience, inclusive of management experience
  • Early application submission for early entries is advised (the application fee varies)
  • Some courses might require applicants to submit a personal statement
  • 2 references must be part of the application for some courses, like the full-time MBA
  • A tuition deposit fee might be required for some courses
  • Language proficiency test: an IELTS score of 7.0.
  • Some programmes allow an Academic Pearson test of English score of a minimum of 55
  • Relevant UK immigration permissions
