Founded in 1839, the University of Missouri is the pioneering public university west of the Mississippi River in Columbia City. The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) was founded in 1870 and was then known as the College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts. CAFNR has established strong collaborations with Missouri and its advantageous position as a thriving agricultural and natural resource hub.
