About the school

Founded in 1839, the University of Missouri is the pioneering public university west of the Mississippi River in Columbia City. The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) was founded in 1870 and was then known as the College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts. CAFNR has established strong collaborations with Missouri and its advantageous position as a thriving agricultural and natural resource hub. CAFNR consistently maintains a strong presence on campus regarding sponsored programmes, having exceeded $42 million during the fiscal year 2019. If you are a doctoral student with the institution, you will be pleased to know that the Office of Research allows you to apply for the CAFNR Dissertation Research Improvement Grants (C-DRIG). These grants can be up to $2,000. CAFNR grants over $1.3 million in scholarships.
