Scholarships for international students at the University of Memphis - Herff College of Engineering

New international students pursuing a degree at the University with an F-1 visa have the opportunity to receive highly sought-after Merit-based Scholarships based on their academic excellence and competitive merits. The awarded amounts for assistantships may vary and have the potential to cover the discrepancy between international and domestic non-Tennessee resident tuition rates.

To be eligible for the scholarship as an incoming graduate student, you must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:

  • You must obtain a minimum GRE score of 310, with 150 minimum in GRE Verbal, 150 in GRE Quantitative, and a 2.5 score in AWA (Analytical Writing Assessment), or provide equivalent GMAT scores.
  • Possess an undergraduate degree with a GPA equivalent to 3.25 in the US, evaluated by a credential evaluation agency, or hold a relevant Master's degree from an accredited and approved institution.

International students are also eligible for Graduate Assistantships awarded by each department.
