The University of Memphis was originally established in 1909, but commenced operations from September 1912. Of the 14-odd colleges under the University, the College of Arts & Sciences is the largest.

Scholarships for International Students at the University of Memphis - College of Arts and Science

To qualify for a scholarship as a graduate student, individuals must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Score a minimum of 310 on the GRE, with 150 or above in both Verbal and Quantitative, and achieve a score of 2.5 in the AWA (Analytical Writing Assessment). Equivalent scores on the GMAT are also accepted.
  • Attain a GPA of 2.5 or higher in the undergraduate degree, as evaluated by a credential assessment agency such as www.naces.org, or hold a relevant Master's degree from an accredited and approved institution.

Students mandatorily remain enrolled full-time during the fall and spring semesters to maintain their scholarship award. Additionally, they must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher each semester.
