The College's location in Denver's vibrant and culturally rich city is a plus for international students. As the largest city in Colorado, Denver has a diverse population comprising people worldwide. From the Denver campus, amenities and cultural attractions are easily accessible. Additionally, the opportunities for academic and professional growth are plentiful.

Life at the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

CLAS graduate students can access all the facilities available to other University of Colorado students. Such accessibility includes on-campus housing. The options include Lynx Crossing and City Heights. They have the necessary utilities, furnished rooms, and meal plans. Off-campus housing is also affordable, and graduate students can share them. Other options for international students are apartments, condos, townhouses, and duplexes. You can also explore homestays in private residences. It's advisable for students to familiarise themselves with the leasing requirements if they will be living off-campus. Such include the need for a guarantor, the ability to pay several months' rent, and a credit check, among others. You can use the Office of Campus Student Services website to look for available accommodation. An additional resource is available for those who want to live with roommates. Dining facilities are plentiful within the campus and the larger Denver area. UniverCity key discounts are available to students with an ID. The ID offers food to university students at discounted prices. Many eateries offer students excellent meal options. Commuter meal plans are available to students who live off campus. Students can use the meal plans at the Lynx dining location. Fitness lovers can use the CU campus Lola and Robert Salazar Student Wellness Centre. The activities include group fitness sessions, club sports, and student clubs. Outside campus, activities occur at the Denver Bouldering Club, Rock'n and Jam'n, etc., which give students discounts. Sports are also an integral part of student activities. They include basketball, dodgeball, futsal, volleyball, etc. The central location of the University means quick access to conveyance facilities. Ensure you have the RTD college pass to access the bus, Call-n-Ride, Skyride, and light rail. They provide transportation between the campus and across the city. Please note that the pass cost is not included in the tuition fees. Bikes are also a popular transportation mode amongst students. For graduate students using personal cars, sufficient parking space is available on campus.
