Academic background
Postgraduate taught courses typically require a qualification equivalent to a UK 2:2 (Second Class Honours, Lower Division). For individual course requirements, please see the course details on the school website.
For Nigeria: 3 or 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum of a 2:2.
For Ghana: 4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent to a UK 2:2.

At the University of Bradford, we provide everything you need to succeed in your studies and transition into graduate work. From the moment you arrive, our student ambassadors are there to welcome you at the airport.
Our Language Centre offers free academic English support through workshops, one-to-ones, and online resources covering grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and writing. You’ll also find a supportive space at the UBU International Student Centre, which hosts cultural events, day trips, and student-led language learning.
You’ll be assigned a Personal Academic Tutor to guide you through your course, and our Student Life Team is on hand to support you throughout your time here. Free, confidential counselling and mental health advice are also available, along with support from the Students’ Union.
We offer a wide range of on-campus services, including a nursery (fees apply), student health centre, prayer spaces, religious counsellors, disability support, an eye clinic with reduced-rate exams, and a student-run physiotherapy clinic. Our libraries and IT facilities are open 24/7 during term time to give you flexible access to resources.
