Prodigy Finance: why do I need to provide a credit report if I've never taken credit before?

Prodigy Finance is a responsible lender and it is very important to us that our loan does not overburden you. This means that we need to make sure you do not have any undeclared debt or any bad debt in your history which is why we ask for a credit report

If you have never taken out credit before, your credit report will show this.

In some parts of the world, credit reports are so common that borrowers won’t have any trouble obtaining theirs and providing it to Prodigy Finance. However, that’s not the case globally. And, we do understand that some applicants will struggle - or may need additional time to secure their report.

If you’re uncertain where to get your credit report - or how to demonstrate that you don’t have one in your home country (perhaps because you’ve never taken credit before), these FAQs will get you started.

And, if you want to learn more about credit reports and why your credit score doesn’t follow you across international borders, take a moment to read this guide
