Prodigy Finances launches new scholarships worth $100,000

Prodigy Finance - March 14, 2017

Prodigy Finance
announces three new student scholarship recipients

We’re celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and we want to celebrate with you! This year, we’re giving out ten scholarships for Master’s degree students, worth $10,000 each.

Want to be considered for a Prodigy Finance scholarship?

Five scholarships will be awarded to business students and five scholarships to engineering students studying at a supported school in the UK and US, who apply for a Prodigy Finance loan from now until 30 November 2017, will be eligible.

Really, there’s no need to do anything else to be considered for one of these scholarships.

Prodigy Finance will assess scholarship candidates by scoring them on a combination of academic aptitude and financial need. (You can read the fine print here.)

We’ll be awarding recipients (in the form of credit to Prodigy Finance loan accounts) on

  • 30th March 2017 (2 recipients)
  • 30th May 2017 (2 recipients)
  • 31st July 2017 (2 recipients)
  • 29th September 2017 (2 recipients)
  • 30th November 2017 (2 recipients)

Why are we giving away these scholarships?

Cameron Stevens, our CEO and founder, sums it up perfectly:

“Having experienced the difficulty in funding my overseas degree, it was evident that the financial services industry needed to be more flexible and adaptable.

This is why Prodigy Finance was set up, as funding should not be a barrier to education. Applying for postgraduate education is an investment, and we want to continue making this accessible.

I’m proud to say that we’re now in our tenth year and continuously growing. Our loans are available to students from 150 countries, and this year’s scholarship programme will help even more international students further their education with a degree from a top university.”

And, we’ve seen the effects of last year’s scholarships on the talented and deserving folks that received them. In September, we awarded Vyom Vats and Abhirath Anuwal with the first ever Prodigy Finance scholarships and followed it up in December with three additional recipients.

Ready to transform your career?

Prodigy Finance addresses the international student financing challenge with loans collectively funded by a community of alumni, institutional investors and qualified private investors who receive a financial and social return; while the student borrower gains access to higher education.

Why not take a moment to learn more about the schools that the accept Prodigy Finance loans from qualified international students? And then, be sure to swing by our scholarship page to read more about our 10-year anniversary scholarships.
