About the school
The Spears School of Business is located at the Oklahoma State University (OSU), which is based in Stillwater. The school has for years served as a "home-base" for academics, staff, and students majoring in business. OSU presented its brand-new 147,450 square foot brick Spears School of Business business building in 2018. The crescent-shaped building was designed by OSU graduate Rand Elliot, and was inspired by the numerous Georgian-style structures seen all across campus.
The Spears School of Business is among the top five percent of business schools in the world. The highest standard for business education excellence, AACSB International, has accredited all academic programmes at Spears Business since 1958. Only 189 universities, including Spears Business, hold the additional, specialised AACSB accreditation for their accounting programmes out of more than 835 business institutions in more than 55 countries and territories.
The university boasts over 200,000 alumni today. T. Boone Pickens (philanthropist and oil magnate) and Ed Roberts (the father of the personal computer) are some of the most notable alumni. Nam Duck-woo (a former South Korean prime minister) and Kevin Stitt (American businessman and politician) are two more noteworthy OSU graduates.
