About the school
The history of the Graduate College at Oklahoma State University (OSU) dates back to the first decade of the twentieth century, when the first graduate programme was officially announced in 1911. By the 1990s, the institution had grown into a popular college with 4,200 students enrolled in 7 master's level programmes and 45 doctoral level programmes.
Three campuses of the OSU offer graduate courses in OSU Stillwater, the OSU Centre for Health Sciences, and the OSU Tulsa Campus. The university holds institutional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission, an independent corporation acting as one of the six official accreditors in the US.
Committed to building empowered individuals in the fields of research and education, top alumni from the Graduate College at Oklahoma State University include T. Boone Pickens (popular American businessman and financier), Mickey Tettleton (former baseball player), and Don Nickels (American politician).

Life at Graduate College
Oklahoma State University has 31 residential halls that include traditional halls, suites, deluxe suites, and apartments are available for both local and international students. Married graduate students or those with families can find a home in apartments in one of the six neighbourhood societies. There are also several off-campus options available to students in Stillwater.
Bus services around the university and in the Stillwater neighbourhoods are provided by Parking and Transportation Services. They offer more than 10 routes to the OSU campus. Students can take an OSU bus to Tulsa if they attend classes or live on the OSU Tulsa campus. For people residing on or off campus, parking permits are also available.
There are over 30 dining options for students to choose from across campus, all managed by the University Dining Services. They offer a variety of food choices, with special dietary options available in addition to international cuisine, grab-and-go meals, convenience store items, vegetarian and vegan choices, allergen-friendly fares, and more. Students can also have flexible meal plan options to choose from. The lowest priced option, Plan-G, costs $100 (approx), the Platinum Meal Plan costs around $2,400 per semester.
The university boasts more than 500 clubs and organisations for students to participate in, learn from, and grow on a holistic level. There are around 50 different sports tournaments and leagues arranged throughout the year, which means there’s no end to the fun. The University’s campus has been voted among the most picturesque in the region, with Georgian architecture spread over 700 acres.
The University also caters to student wellness and health through a variety of initiatives to foster a stress-free college life. This includes events like “Talk About it Tuesdays,” and access to free counselling, and other helpful resources.

Admissions criteria
Oklahoma State University is one of the premier institutes to enrol in for a great career and a fulfilling student life. Students seeking admission to the Graduate College of Oklahoma State University require:
- A copy of their undergraduate transcripts
- GRE or GMAT (as required), OSU Institution Code: 6546
- Two to four letters of recommendation
- Complete resume
- A personal statement
- International students expecting to be F1 or J1 visa holders require evidence of English proficiency and a financial guarantee (confirmation of financial resources)
- Proof of English proficiency: You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL Internet-Based exam: 79, IELTS: 6.5, and PTE 53.

OSU Career Services provides students with a wide range of services to shape their careers. These include one-on-one appointments with employers, employment news, internships, and much more.
Informative Career Events: Career workshops and fairs are held throughout the year to nurture innovation and bring in new perspectives.
Effective Skills Development: The 360° CSCS Programme helps nurture students’ skills in six areas, including research, wellness, communication, instruction, management, and leadership.
All-inclusive Support: The university also offers a place for graduate students to sit, ideate, and work on group projects at the Graduate Student Success Centre, equipped with audio and video capabilities for meetings and conferences.
Well-Established Job Placement Solutions: For the year 2020, the full-time employment rate for graduates at Oklahoma State University stood at 76%, with 19% continuing/seeking further education. Furthermore, for FY 2020, 4,276 student appointments were held with Career Consultants across campus, and 3,985 on-campus interviews held by 197 companies.
