About the school
Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) - College of Computing and Engineering (CCE) was established in 2015 to help students overcome challenges in the computing and engineering fields with confidence. NSU, founded originally in the 1960s, had an experienced think tank under its management that was involved in over 40 years of computer science research.
With highly experienced alumni (known as sharks) and interesting course structures, CCE is considered one of the top colleges in Florida for students passionate about pursuing information technology or engineering courses.
The institution is also ranked as the provider of the Second Best Online Master’s in Computer Science and the Eighth Best Online Master’s in Cybersecurity by Fortune magazine.

Life at College of Computing & Engineering
Students are encouraged to showcase their sports skills in the tournaments that NSU conducts regularly. They can participate in national championships, regional championships, and many more events on campus. The university has a dedicated bookstore on campus, which CCE students can use to buy books, electronics, snacks, stationery supplies, stress-relieving tools, foods, and other essentials at affordable prices.
The University also boasts a beautiful central library, sprawling across a whopping 5 floors. This makes it one of the biggest state libraries in Florida. The students can get all their academic and research-related content from this library. Apart from these, the NSU campus has multiple healthcare centres for the benefit of its students.

Admissions criteria
At NSU’s College of Computing and Engineering, your professional and academic qualifications are the basis for admission. Here are the admission criteria you need to follow:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- In cases where the GPA is lower than 2.5, a supplemental letter explaining the reason and why this score doesn’t affect your potential
- Official transcripts from universities/colleges previously attended
- Resume/CV
For International students, additional requirements include: - F1-Visa students to submit an enrolment deposit fee of $500; this will be considered for tuition fee once admission is successful - Foreign degrees should be evaluated by a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) - Detailed GPA calculated through course-by-course transcription reports - Proof of English proficiency: You must obtain the minimum score in the following exams to be eligible- TOEFL Internet-Based exam: 80 IELTS: 6.0, Duolingo: 105, and Pearson Test of Academic English: 54.

Job placements
NSU provides on-campus and off-campus employment opportunities to help students secure gainful employment. As a student, some of the employment programmes that you can apply for are as follows:
Federal Work Study – This is a need-based programme in which the university determines the amount you can earn. You need to get selected into the programme to earn your pay. This programme pays bi-weekly.
NSU Student Employment Programme – This is an on-campus employment opportunity, and the students have to complete their admission formalities to be eligible. The graduate students can work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week in this programme.
Job Location and Development Programme – This is an off-campus opportunity where the students can work part-time or full-time based on their time and flexibility constraints.
